Tajikistan is participating in the 25th Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT) that kicked off in Moscow on March 13 and runs through March 15.

According to the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, Tajikistan is participating in this exhibition for the first time.

Tajik stand titled “Tajikistan – Country of High Mountains and Kind Hearts” has been organized at the 25th MITT in Moscow.  

The stand presents wide opportunities of ecological, remedial and rehabilitation tourism as well as hunting in Tajikistan, an official source the Tourism Development Committee told Asia-Plus in an interview.  

According to him, participation of Tajikistan in the25th Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition has become possible due to support provided by Rustam Emomali, President of the Tajikistan Football Federation.

Recall, a Tajik corner titled “Tajikistan – the Roof of the World” was organized at the three-day international tourism exhibition, Intourmarket 2018, which concluded in Moscow on March 12. 

Tajik tourism companies reportedly presented resources and opportunities of Tajikistan for attraction of tourists from Russia and other countries.  

Held annually, MITT is one of the top five travel exhibitions in the world and is highly valued by the international tourism community.  Founded in 1994, the MITT exhibition has reportedly earned its reputation as the place to do business.  With over 1,600 participating companies from around the globe, MITT is the key meeting place for the industry and an opportunity to catch up with colleagues and clients.  In addition, it enables participants to increase awareness of their destination, present their new programs and gain a real feel for the Russian travel market.
