Sixty countries of the world have provided 41 million U.S. dollars’ worth of more than 22,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first eleven months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the report period, among donors countries the greatest share reportedly came from Russia – 16 percent; India – 115.7 percent; China – 11.1 percent; Switzerland – 110.6 percent; Turkey – 7.1 percent; France – 6.9 percent; Kazakhstan – 5.9 percent; Germany – 3.8 percent; the United States – 3.6 percent; and others.
Over the same eleven-month period last year, fifty-four countries provided some 70 million U.S. dollars’ of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan.
In January-November 2017, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from China – nearly 34 percent.
In all, fifty-eight countries provided 73.644 million U.S. dollars’ worth of 24,353.5 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan last year and the greatest share came from China – 32.2 percent.
