Three Turkish companies, namely Kreatif Architecture and Construction Limited Company (design), Dinamik Proje Muh. Ve Mus. Hiz. Ltd Sti (mechanics), Hb Teknik Elektrik Muhendisligi proje ve Danismanlik Hizmetleri Ltd Sit (production of electrical appliances, electrical and electronic goods), will take care of interior design of the 5-star Ismoili Somoni Hotel in Dushanbe.

An appropriate agreement between Joint-Stock Company (JSC) Dollmark Ltd, which is constructing the hotel and the three Turkish companies was signed at Dushanbe Regency Hotel on January 13.

Dollmark Ltd reportedly has a thirteen-year experience in constructing high buildings.

Ismoili Somoni Hotel will operate under a well-known American brand Marriot, which is reportedly the largest hotel chain in the world.

A 17-story building, meeting all the requirements of modern architecture, is located in the center of Dushanbe.

The hotel is reportedly designed for 250 rooms, among which there will be standard, junior suites and suites.  The entire top floor will be occupied by presidential apartments.

The commissioning of the building is reportedly scheduled for the end of 2023.

Recall, the construction of Ismoili Somoni Hotel officially commenced in Dushanbe on March 15, 2006.  Speaking at a groundbreaking ceremony for the hotel, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon expressed hope that it would be finished in accordance with schedule in one and a half years.  In 2006, the budget for construction of the hotel was reportedly estimated at 30 million U.S. dollars

It had previously been noted that Ismoili Somoni Hotel is being built on orders from the President’s Executive Office by a company called Ismoili Somoni-21st Century.

Meanwhile, it was noted in December 2020 that China’s Beijing Foch Mechanical Equipment Installation Engineering Co., Ltd is general contractor and the Joint-Stock Company (JSC) Dollmark Ltd, which is registered in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), is the customer of the hotel.

The hotel was expected to be completed before the end of 2018 and to be put in commission in 2019.  However, Ismoili Somoni Hotel is being constructed for already fifteen years and the company constructing the hotel has enjoyed tax breaks all these years, being exempted from paying VAT and custom duties.
