Tajik President Emomali Rahmon today morning sent a message of condolences to Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani over deaths of passengers and crew of the plane, which crashed Sunday in Iran’s Isfahan Province, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

In his message of condolences, President Emomali Rahmon, in particular, noted, “We were deeply saddened by the news of the deaths of passengers and crew members of the plane that crashed in Iran’s Isfahan Province.”

Tajik leader also asked to convey his sincerely sympathy to families and relatives of those who had been killed in that plane crash. 

Aseman Airlines plane reportedly crashed en route from Tehran to Yasuj in severe weather conditions.

According to Iranian media reports, all passengers and crew onboard an Iranian commercial flight died after the plane crashed amid severe weather conditions in a mountainous region in the south of the country yesterday morning.

The twin-engine turboprop ATR-72 plane, which was 20 years old, left the Iranian capital at 8.05 am local time on Sunday for a 5600kilometer internal journey.

Aseman Airlines flight 3705, en route from Tehran to the southern city of Yasuj reportedly went off radar 50 minutes into its journey, not far from its destination.

The plane had on board 60 passengers and six crew members. Nobody has survived the crash.
