DUSHANBE, September 8, 2009, Asia-Plus  - The Ministry of Education (MoE) has developed guidelines on professional dress for teachers at secondary schools.

Jaloliddi Amirov, a leading specialist with the MoE directorate for preschool and secondary education, said in an interview with Asia-Plus that the main objective of the guidelines  was in regulating issues related to professional dress for high school teachers in the country.

“Teachers should pose an excellent example for school students and they must not dress too loudly,” said Amirov, “School teacher must dress in tune with the times but modestly and tidily, keeping our mentality.  Teacher should differ from other sections of the population by culture and ethics of dress.”

According to him, the guidelines offer several types of professional dress for teachers for all seasons of the year.  The guidelines will be published next week and distributed to all schools across the country, the MoE official said.
