Hundreds of people came to Kokhi Borbad State Complex in Dushanbe yesterday to see the FIFA World Cup Trophy with their own eyes.

The dedicated airplane carrying the Trophy landed at the Dushanbe airport yesterday afternoon.  France's World Cup-winning retired footballer Christian Karembeu accompanied the Trophy on the Tajikistan leg of its world tour.

Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali, who is also President of the Tajikistan Football Federation, and Khurshed Mirzo, the First Vice-President of the Tajikistan Football Federation, met the Trophy at their airport.

After that the Trophy was brought to the Kokhi Borbad State Complex.  Football fans could take a photo next to FIFA World Cup Trophy.

This unforgettable opportunity was provided to football fans by Coca-Cola.

Recall, the global leg of the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola kicked off on January 22 with an official launch ceremony at London Stansted Airport with former FIFA World Cup™ winners Sir Geoff Hurst of England and Andrea Pirlo of Italy.  The stars helped send the original FIFA World Cup Trophy off on its worldwide journey to 91 cities across 51 countries and six continents ahead of this summer’s tournament.

Coca-Cola is inviting fans around the world to get #ReadyFor the 2018 FIFA World Cup with an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get up close to the same solid-gold trophy that will be presented to the winning country of the tournament in July.

Before starting on its global tour, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola traveled across Russia for three months, visiting 16 cities, making it the longest host country tour in history.

This marks the fourth time Coca-Cola and FIFA have come together to bring the Trophy Tour to the world. This year's experiential activation will visit several countries for the first time ever, including Tajikistan, Iceland, Austria and Mongolia.

Within the next few months, hundreds of thousands of people from over 50 countries will have an opportunity to see the FIFA World Cup Trophy with their own eyes.
