Renovated Kuli Javonon (Youth Lake) Park has reopened after major repairs.  President Emomali Rahmon, Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda and Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali yesterday evening attended an official opening ceremony of the renovated Kuli Javonon Park, according to the Tajik president’s official website. 

The work on improvement of park began in 2017.  More than 500 rare decorative trees and more than 4,000 seasonal flowers have reportedly been planted.


The park occupies the area of 3.5 hectares, and during the major repairs, more than 15,000 square meters have been paved with tiles and trees have been planted on 18,000 square meters of the park territory.

267 illumination pillars of different size, ranging from 3 to 12 meters, have been installed in the park.

Besides, the park has a large music fountain and two small fountains as well as the parking lot for 70 vehicles.    

The park also has a children’s playground and offers boating (The park now has twenty modern boats).

Kuli Javonon (formerly Kuli Komsomol – Komsomol Lake) Park was built in 1940.  Since that time, the park has been renovated several times but major repairs have been carried out for the first time.
