The mock-up image was created by Sara Shakeel, formerly a dentist and now a crystal artist.

Dubai's flagship airline Emirates is known for going the extra mile. Whether it's an airline safety demonstration in the middle of packed stadiums across the world or a desi dance to celebrate Diwali, the airline knows how to make heads turn, Khaleej Times reports.

And this new photo is doing just that.  The spectacular mock-up image was created by crystal artist Sara Shakeel.  It shows a glittering Emirates plane covered in bling parked on the runway under a beautiful starry sky.

Shakeel posted her bedazzling creation on December 4 and it turned out that Emirates liked the image so much that the airline asked for permission to repost it and upgraded her flight from Pakistan to Milan.

Flyers were quick to comment on the airline's Facebook page praising the "Christmassy" image.

One said "ooh I want to fly in that plane", while another added: "Now that's the only way to travel."

The photo has received over 400,000 likes on the Emirates Instagram handle.

Earlier this year the airline revealed its amazing first class suites, which boast floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and up to 40 square feet of space, according to Time Out Dubai.

There is even enough room for passengers to change in complete privacy after the bed has been made.

Passengers can easily communicate with the cabin crew, or request for room service using the video call function.

The suites also come with a service window where customers can be served drinks and canapes undisturbed.
