DUSHANBE, June 21, Asia-Plus -- On Wednesday June 21, the Culture Center “Bactria” in Dushanbe organized event to mark a Music Day.
Ms. Amal Khanum Gadjiyeva, coordinator of the Bactria Center for cultural and international ties, has told Asia-Plus that the event is being held under support of the French Embassy in Dushanbe.
“Such events are annually held in France on June 21, Summer Solstice,” said Ms. Gadjiyeva, “In Tajikistan, it is already the fourth year that events to mark Music Day are held and these events cover more and more both professional musicians and amateurs in Tajikistan year in.”
Today, musicians are performing fragments from the “Shashmaqom” cycle. Besides, representatives from the Indian Embassy in Dushanbe will perform their national dances and songs. Musical group “Music for You” will perform classic music, jazz, etc.
