DUSHANBE , May 23, Asia-Plus - Today, Tajikistan is marking a Youth Day.

On this occasion, a ceremonial meeting opened at the “Kokhi Jomi” Complex in Dushanbe today morning.  More than 700 youth activists from all regions of the country have been invited to take part in the meeting’s work.  

Deputy head of the Youth Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, Qodirjon Jurayev, says senior representatives from the government and the Dushanbe mayor’s office are attending the meeting.   

Today afternoon, the Youth Committee is holding events for disabled people and difficult children.  According to Mr. Jurayev, various contests will be held among children.  The event is supposed to target some 300 children in Dushanbe .
