Socio-economic development of Zhambyl Region in recent years is characterized by stability and steady growth. According to Economy and Budgetary Planning Department, socio-economic indices of last years regarding gross regional product, industrial production, agriculture development, investment potential expansion and others set the best pattern of dynamic development of regional economy.
Region authorities pay particular attention to the agricultural products processing. Annual growth rate of agricultural products volumes in the Region is equal to 7% for the period of last 4 years. In comparison with 2004 food industry production volumes grew 1.3 times.
