The number of insolvent enterprises in the past five years in Uzbekistan decreased by 70% and the number of unprofitable enterprises by 65%.
This was achieved through structural changes and technical and technological re-equipment of enterprises by their new owners, the State demonopolization committee said at a press conference.
According to the committee, the special attention is paid to improvement of the management and production, the marketing strategy, attraction of foreign and internal investments and thus reaching stability.
This has led to growth of production and sales volumes at more than 70% of previously insolvent enterprises.
