Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received a letter from U.S. President Barack Obama who thanked the president of Turkmenistan for congratulations on his election as President of the United States. The message was published in today''s issue of Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.
"I am confident that we can work together in a spirit of peace and friendship to build a more secure world during the next four years. I look forward to working with you in that effort and in promoting good relations between our countries, Barack Obama noted.
