Kazakhstan will increase grain harvest by nearly 10% in 2009 compared to the level of 2008, due to good soil and weather conditions and the moisture reserves, declared Arman Evniev, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan harvested 15.6 million tons of grains in clean weight with excellent quality indices in 2008. At the same time, the harvest in bunker weight exceeded 17.2 million tons despite the droughts.
