Kyrgyz Oppositional Revolutionary Committee plans to discuss the issue of boycotting the presidential elections on July 23, 2009, sources of the news agency “24.kg” reported. One of the founders and leaders of the committee Azimbek Beknazarov did not deny the information but gave no comment.
“We need to discuss all points, issues and only after consultation with the other members of our organization I can answer the questions,” Beknazarov said.
Members of the Joined People’s Movement planned to consider the nomination of one presidential candidate from opposition on Thursday, April 2. However the meeting was called off for unknown reasons.
“The JPM does not cancel the meeting but postponed it,” said Beknazarov
The potential candidates – chief of the Human Rights and Freedom Institute Topchubek Turgunaliev, ex- speaker of the parliament Mukar Cholponbaev, Ramazan Daryldaev and leader of the Green Party Erkin Bulekbaev will meet on Thursday, April 2 at the Revolutionary Committee.
