“International organizations report there are up to 10 thousand homeless children in Kyrgyzstan,” the vice prime minister Uktomhan Abdullaeva said at the session of parliamentary Committee on Youth, Gender Policy, Physical Culture and Sport on Monday, April 6, 2009.
The number of working children has reached 23,000. “Rehabilitation of these children should start from their families. We should work on bringing them back to their parents,” the vice premier said.
Social services should be also improved, in particular with the help of the newly adopted bill On Social service.
