Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov issued the decree "On presenting gifts in honor of the 64th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."
The head of state instructed the administrations of provinces, cities and districts, the Central Council of the War Veterans Organization of Turkmenistan to hand over on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan the cash gifts worth 200 manat as well as valuable prizes to every WWII veteran and widows of soldiers killed in battles on the occasion of this glorious date.
The document also instructs local governments to ensure priority medical service for participants for WWII veterans and to take care of the improvement of their living conditions, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.
