Islam Karimov received Minister of foreign affairs and cooperation of Spain Miguel Angel Moratinos on July 3. Exchange of opinions on Uzbek-Spanish relations took place in the course of negotiations.
Spanish delegation headed by Moratinos arrived to Uzbekistan with a purpose of discussing possibilities of cooperation expansion, President''s press service reported.
Islam Karimov commented visit of the guest as "continuation of Madrid meeting" with King Juan Carlos this May in the course of foreign trip of President of Uzbekistan. "I place huge emphasis to your visit and an assured, that it will be successful," Karimov emphasized.
Miguel Angel Moratinos expressed gratitude to Karimov for welcome and noted that Spain is interested in further expansion of connections with Uzbekistan, emphasizing, that in future "it is reasonable to organize a visit on a highest level."
