Residents of Kyrgyzstan estimate their material situation much higher than other residents of CIS countries, considering it as good, Russian mass media with reference to the last research of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre reported.

According to the research, 51 percent of Kyrgyz respondents estimate material situation of their families as good or very good. The index is sufficiently high in Uzbekistan (44 percent) and Tajikistan (34 percent). None of Russian respondents appraised his material situation as very good and only 10 percent of them estimated it as good. The most negative estimations gave the Ukrainian and the Moldavian citizens – 53 and 47 percent respectively, considering their financial condition bad and very bad.

The top five countries where the population positively estimates economic situation are: Uzbekistan (49 percent), Azerbaijan (32 percent), Tajikistan (23 percent), Kazakhstan (19 percent) and Kyrgyzstan (12 percent). Moreover 69 percent of Uzbek citizens believe that the situation will change for the better in a year.

In Russia only 20 percent of respondents hope for positive changes, while 38 percent of them think that everything will remain the same.
