President Nursultan Nazarbaev has extended his condolences to relatives of the border guards, who died in the crash of MI-8 helicopter on Tuesday in southern Kazakhstan during border protection raid, reported the President''s press service on Wednesday.
The President ordered the government to provide families of the dead and injured with necessary financial support.
Moreover, the General Prosecutor''s Office of the National Security Committee "is ordered to conduct a thorough investigation of the reasons of the crash, as well as take all necessary actions to improve the safety level of soldiers and to prevent similar incidents in future," the President''s press service said.
