Traditional international tournament "Ferghana Cup" among juniors, included into the calendar of International Tennis Federation (ITF), started in Ferghana on September 9.
Young men and women aged 14-18 take part in the competitions, Uzbek Tennis Federation reported. They will compete for victory in singles and doubles.
Representatives of 14 countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, India, Argentina, China, Japan, and others will participate in the tournament.
Main goal of the tournament is popularization of tennis in the region and providing opportunity to young sportsmen to compete with foreign rivals.
Uzbekistan will be represented by Shakhzoda Hatamova, Bobur Kamildjanov, Anya Arustamyants, and others.
Competitions will last till September 12.
