At least 156 thousand people can catch swine flu in the republic. Therefore the ministry prepared operating plan for pandemic situation: it tightened control over passengers, arriving from counties with high risk of the virus, prepared isolation wards and laboratories.
“Besides, special medical equipment for temperature measuring has been installed at the international Bishkek and Osh airports and Ak Zhol sanitary control point,” the deputy minister said.
At least three swine flu cases have been laboratory confirmed in Kyrgyzstan. Two patients arrived from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Toronto (Canada), and one more infected is a local resident. At the time 277,607 thousand cases are registered all over the world. The infection can be differentiated from a common flu only by laboratory analysis due to similar clinical picture.
