27 EU countries agreed not to resume embargo on supply of arms to Uzbekistan on Wednesday. This was the last sanction introduced by EU in 2005 after events in Uzbek town of Andijan which lead to numerous civil victims.
Human rights activists were continuously reporting that situation with human rights in Uzbekistan did not improve much in these years.
