Uzbekistan will probably close its border with Afghanistan following the confirmed case of the coronavirus in that country.  

The Agency for Sanitary-Epidemiological Wellbeing of the Population at the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan has proposed to close the Uzbek-Afghan border following the coronavirus outbreak in Afghanistan, according to CentralAsia.

This proposal was reportedly discussed on February 24 at a meeting of the central commission for combating the coronavirus.

The meeting participants discussed the possibility of temporary closure of Uzbekistan’s common border with Afghanistan and some other issues related to bilateral relations between the two countries.
