, April 6, Asia-Plus -- Republican karate-do championships will be held in the city of
Tursunzoda
(central
Tajikistan
) on April 18-19.
Umarkhon Madvaliyeva, head of
Tajikistan
’s Karate-do Federation, has told Asia-Plus that sportsmen from the Sughd province, the cities of Kulob and Tursunzoda as well as the Yovon and Varzob districts compete in this competition.
On results of these championships,
Tajikistan
’s national karate-do team will be made up to participate in the international karate-do tournament for Sato Tetsuo (founder of this kind of sports in the former Soviet republics) Cup that will be held in
Moscow
in May.
