DUSHANBE, February 13, Asia-Plus -- Tajik athlete Rasoul Boqiyev has finished seventh among 45 athletes in the men’s –73 kg in the ongoing Paris Judo Super World Cup, according to Tajikistan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC).
Wrestlers from 50 countries across the world have participated in the Paris Judo Super World Cup. In Paris, Tajikistan has been represented only by one athlete – Rasoul Boqiyev. We will recall that Rasoul Boqiyev won the bronze medal in the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, finishing third in the men’s –73 kg judo.
A source at the Tajik NOC said that two other Tajik athletes, Nematullo Arslonqulov and Rauf Hikmatov are currently being trained in Moscow for the second round of the Judo Super Cup that will be held in Germany and Hungary from February 21 to March 2.
