DUSHANBE, December 1, Asia-Plus -- Tajik karate player Badriddin Umarov won gold medal in East Asia-Pacific Karate-Do Championships, finishing first in -80 kg category, Asia-Plus has learned from Umarkhon Madvaliyev, Chairman of Tajikistan’s Karate-Do Federation.
According to him, the competition was held in Hong on November 24-26, and it participants included athletes from 20 countries across the world.
“Tajikistan participated in the East Asia-Pacific Karate-Do Championships for the first time, and in the team event, our country stood seventh” Madvaliyev said.
