DUSHANBE, February 25 2012, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon has signed a decree on awarding cash prizes to Tajik athletes who will win medals at the London 2012 Olympics, according to the presidential press service.
Gold medalists will be awarded 300,000 somoni each, silver medalists – 250,000 somoni each and bronze medalists – 200,000 somoni each.
This decision is made to stimulate athletes and promote the development of sports in the country, the source said.
