During the news conference it was noted that last year, the Committee specialists inspected some 2,000 facilities and construction sites across the republic and revealed numerous violations at more than 200 of them. Heads of these facilities were fined a total of more than 530,000 Somonis for not satisfying requirements of town-planning and architecture.
Matlub Khalifayev, head of the Committee for Construction and Architecture, told journalists that last year, 935 organizations in the republic were granted construction licenses, which is 208 organizations more compared to 2004.
At the same time, inspections by the Committee specialists revealed instances when organizations were working without licenses. “Last year, such instances were revealed at 986 construction sites throughout the republic,” Khalifayev said.
