DUSHANBE, January 30, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan’s Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting hosted a news conference on January 27 to report on the results of work carried out in 2005.
Asadullo Rahmonov, Chairman of the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting, speaking to journalists noted that they were dissatisfied with low quality of programs of the Tajik national TV. This issued was discussed at the enlarged board meeting of the committee, according to him.
“Many journalists are displeased with rate of wage by we will try to raise rates of honorariums already before April this year,” Rahmonov said. He also promised that all difficulties with technical equipment and transportation would be resolved within four months.
According to him, all correspondent points in Sughd, Khatlon, Gorno Badakhshan and districts subordinate to the center will be provided with digital TV equipment and transportation. He noted that the Committee in cooperation with Tajik Embassy in Moscow had opened its correspondent point in Moscow.
