DUSAHNBE, February 1, Asia-Plus -- As of January 1 2006, 46 republican and 98 regional economic entities have operated on a market of commodities in Tajikistan, Rahmonali Amirov, Chairman of the Anti-Monopoly Committee, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on January 31.
According to him, for the purpose of developing entrepreneurship and supporting local producers the Committee’s loan financially supported commission provided financial support to 43 projects. “Preferential loans totaling 743,200 Somonis were provided to 30 individual entrepreneurs, 10 dehqan (peasant) farms, 2 limited liability companies and one cooperative society in 2005,” Amirov noted.
Dwelling on work aimed at enhancing legal foundation, the Anti-Monopoly Committee head stressed that the Committee last year worked out a draft strategy of development of entrepreneurship designed for the period up to 2015.
