DUSAHNBE, April 6, Asia-Plus - Deputy Defense Minister and Head of the Chief Staff of Tajikistan’s Armed Forces, General-Lieutenant Ramil Nadyrov, has highly appraised actions of servicemen of the Russian military base in Tajikistan and Tajik military cadets that participated in the Tajik-Russian military exercise at the Lohur training ground on April 3-5.  

Speaking to journalists, the general said that two companies of cadets of Tajik Military Institute totaling 300 people had participated in the drill on the part of the Tajik Armed Forces.

According to him, such war games allow improving interaction between sub-units of various arms of the service as well as between the Tajik and Russian troops.   

General Nadyrov commenting on the drill scenario (repulsing terrorist attack) said that such a threat did not really existed but it was possible and not only in Central Asia .
