DUSHANBE, May 2, Asia-Plus -- Frequency of the current transmitted from Uzbekistan in the autumn-winter season meets standards of Tajikistan, the Barqi Tojik holding company deputy chairman, Aleksey Silantyev, told journalists on April 28.  

            According to him, the currency frequency determined at 50 Hz in the Soviet era already remains the same in the states of the post-Soviet area.  “Some deviations may be, but they are inconsiderable and cannot negatively impact,” Silantyev said, noting that that they have received complaints about low voltage but this problem already resolved.   

As it had been reported earlier, Ayub Boboyev, head of the metrology department within the Sughd standardization agency, on April 27 told journalists that frequency of the current transmitted from neighboring Uzbekistan did not meet requirements of “Tojikstandart”.  “Because of this electrical appliances may become unserviceable,” Boboyev said.
