DUSHANBE, October 14, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Iranian vehicle manufacturer, Iran Khodro, plans to organize sale, servicing and assembly of its vehicles in Tajikistan.
According to the Iran Khodro representative, they have reached a preliminary agreement with the limited liability company, Tajikistan Economic and Investment Development Group.
A final document is expected to be signed during the next meeting of the Tajik-Iranian intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation that will take place in the Iranian capital, Tehran, in the near future.
Iran Khodro has put on display four models of his cars at the AgroFood Tajikistan 2015 Exhibition in Dushanbe – Runna, Dena, Soren, and Arisun.
Iran Khodro Industrial Group, also known as IKCO, is the leading Iranian vehicle manufacturer, with headquarters in Tehran. The company''s original name was Iran National. Founded in 1962, IKCO manufactures vehicles, including Samand , Peugeot and Renault cars, and trucks, minibuses and buses.
The company won the annual national prize for export activities in years 2006, 2007. Russia, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Egypt, Algeria and Bulgaria are among the most important target markets for the group.
