The Council for e-Commerce Development (Council) has been established at Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).  CCI chairman Jamshed Jumakhonzoda heads the Council, according to CCI press center.

The Council will monitor the national legislation on e-commerce, prepare proposals of regulatory nature within its competence, establish contacts and collaboration with national and international organizations and sectoral unions, entrepreneurs’ associations, and e-commerce companies.  

The Council will also monitor state, trends and dynamics of development of the e-commerce market and their influence on development of industrial sectors.   

Besides, the Council for e-Commerce Development will participate in conducting information-and-analytical and marketing surveys and attracting scientific and information-and-analytical organizations to research e-commerce problems. 

The Council will also provide assistance with offering training and counseling to members and employees of the system of chambers of commerce and industry in Tajikistan.  

The Council for e-Commerce Development will become an important platform for discussion of issues related to promotion and development of e-commerce in Tajikistan.  

The Council is open to all interested physical and legal entities, irrespective of their forms of property.  Representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, development partners, IT and telecommunications companies and experts interested in development of e-commerce in Tajikistan are also expected to participate in the Council’ activities.
