A fire broke out in a canteen of Tajik Technological University in Dushanbe today morning at 7:00 am. 

The canteen is located in building 2 of the university and the fire has caused damage to the building.


The fire has been extinguished and no injured has been reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  Most likely, it was caused by electrical malfunction.  

Located on Nemat Qaraboyev Street in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district, Tajik Technological University is a higher educational institution with a focus on light and food industries, information technology and economics: specifically in marketing and international economic relations.

It was established on the basis of the Tajik Higher College of Technology, organized by the Council of Ministers of the Republic on September 20, 1990. 

The Technological University of Tajikistan consists of nine faculties and 19 departments and it offers 33 Bachelors, 8 Masters, and 6 Doctoral degrees.
