Kyrgyz military fired at the bridge near Chorqishkoq village on the Isfara-Chorkuh highway. The bridge was not damaged, but for the sake of safety, people are forced to use bypass road to drive from Isfara to Chorkuh.
The shootings that were taking place in the area of Chorkuh village have spilled over into Vorukh, Tajikistan’s exclave in Kyrgyzstan. Here, shootouts began in several areas next to the Kyrgyz village of Ak-Sai. The sides are firing from assault rifles, grenade launchers and mortars, a source at the Vorukh administration told Asia-Plus today at around 4:30 pm.
