DUSHANBE, November 15, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A Tajik parliamentary delegation is expected to visit some Russian oblasts in the near future to get acquainted with the legal state of Tajik labor migrants working there.
Speaking at a meeting of the board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament, the Majlisi Namoyandagon Speaker Shukurjon Zuhurov noted with regret on November 14 that Russian medial outlets have released false reports about detention and conviction of two pilots of Rolkan Investments Ltd in Tajikistan. “The trail was conducted in accordance with the country’ legislation and all norms were observed,” the speaker stressed.
He added that the problem connected with the detention of the pilots was under control of Tajikistan’s leadership and President Emomali Rahmon stated on that matter that Russia remained strategic partner of Tajikistan and stressed that all bilateral problems must be solved through negotiations.
Tajik parliamentarians also hope that the accrued problem may also be solved through diplomatic channels and all misunderstandings will be removed, Zuhurov said.
