Recall, Tajikistan held a five-day celebration of culture from neighboring Uzbekistan in May 2017, which was a sign of warming ties between the two countries.  The Uzbekistan Culture Days that took place in Dushanbe from May 9 to May 12 of May 2017 was the first such an event since Tajikistan and Uzbekistan gained independence in 1991.
