France’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard, will complete her four-year diplomatic mission in September this year.

“Usually, a mission of French diplomats includes three years of activity.  But Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard is an exception.  For successful and fruitful cooperation with the government and civic society of Tajikistan as well as for a significant contribution to the development of cultural relationships between the two countries – France and Tajikistan – Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard was able to extend her mission in this beautiful country for another year,” said a representative of the French Embassy in Dushanbe.

It is expected that the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan will receive Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard at the end of her tenure to Tajikistan to give her the “Certificate of Honor of the Republic of Tajikistan for Merits in the Development of Cooperation between the Two Diplomatic Partner Countries.”

Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard was appointed the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan in September 2016.  Her tenure to Tajikistan will end in late September this year.

Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard is a career diplomat.  Prior to being appointed as France’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, she had reportedly served in Vietnam, India and China as well as worked for the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense and the Prime Minister of France.

Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard has academic degrees in law, politics and classics.  She graduated from the School of Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University in Italy.
