On Tuesday August 4, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Tajikistan, Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and France in various spheres, as well as emphasized the importance of organizing the scheduled bilateral events after the stabilization of the global situation related to the pandemic.

Muhriddin reportedly thanked Mrs. Gouedard for her outstanding and valuable contribution to the expansion and strengthening of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and the French Republic.

France’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard, will complete her four-year diplomatic mission in September this year. 

Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard was appointed the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan in September 2016.  Her tenure to Tajikistan will end in late September this year.   

Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard is a career diplomat.  Prior to being appointed as France’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, she had reportedly served in Vietnam, India and China as well as worked for the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense and the Prime Minister of France.  

Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard has academic degrees in law, politics and classics.  She graduated from the School of Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University in Italy.
