As part of his official visit to South Korea, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin on November 25 met in Seoul with , within the framework of an official visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Ms. Kang Kyung-wha.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the parties discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and South Korea in various fields.
Issues of expanding and strengthening the legal foundation of the bilateral relations were also discussed.
The two also discussed the implementation of agreements reached during high-level visits, the signing of new bilateral documents, coordination of joint activities in various formats, including within the framework of the meetings of the Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
In this regard, the parties reportedly stressed the importance of expanding trade, economic, investment and scientific and technical ties between the two countries, expanding inter-parliamentary ties, cooperation in the field of industry and energy, culture, tourism and labor migration.
They also exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting resulted in the signing of the program of cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Republic of Korea designed for 2021-2023.
