Tajik and Russian presidents have discussed strategic partnership in a post-visit phone call

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon yesterday held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, following Putin’s recent state visit to Tajikistan, according to the Tajik president’s official website. 

President Putin reportedly expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to him during his official visit to Dushanbe.

He also praised the high-level organization of two major regional events recently hosted in the Tajik capital: the Second Russia–Central Asia Summit and the CIS Heads of State Council meeting.

The two leaders reviewed the outcomes of Putin’s visit and discussed ways to implement the agreements reached.

The Kremlin says both presidents characterized their bilateral talks as constructive and meaningful, noting that the signed agreements would help strengthen the strategic partnership and alliance between their countries.

The call reportedly reaffirmed the mutual commitment of Tajikistan and Russia to continue deepening cooperation across political, economic, and regional security domains.
