DUSHANBE , January 9, Asia-Plus - Now twenty-four-hour duties will be organized at all enterprises in Tajik capital till the end of winter. 

            Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev held an extraordinary meeting of the Dushanbe authorities on Sunday following the fire at the orphanage for children with mental disabilities in Dushanbe on the night of January-7-8 that killed thirteen children.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, has told Asia-Plus  that Ubaidulloyev demanded at the meeting that the city firefighting service should inspect all enterprises and organizations in Dushanbe with object of their meeting requirements of the fire-prevention measures.  

The Dushanbe branch of the “Barqi Tojik” open joint-stock holding company is to distribute agitation leaflets calling for rational use of electric power and observance of the fire-prevention measures, according to the mayoral spokesman.  

Deputy Dushanbe Mayor, Pulod Muhiddinov, is charged to take adequate measures to render assistance to the fire victims.  

 According to Saidov, heads of all educational institutions based in Dushanbe, senior representatives from the law enforcement agencies, Tajik firefighting service, energy ministry, gas concern and mahalla (community) committees attended the meeting.
