, February 9, Asia-Plus - Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov yesterday expressed condolences to families and friends of nine Tajik labor migrants, who died in a blaze at the town of
Dolgoprudny
in
Moscow
region, presidential press service reported.
As it had been reported earlier, the fire broke out in a wooden hut in the compound of a fruit-and-vegetable storehouse in the settlement of Khlebnikovo [near
Moscow
] on the night of February 5-6. Nine labor migrants from
Tajikistan
died in the blaze and two others were hospitalized with burns. Russian police opened investigation into what caused the fire.
According to presidential press service, the president ordered the ministries of foreign affairs, interior, health and labor jointly with relevant organizations of the
Russian Federation
to take all necessary measures to return the bodies of Tajik migrants killed in the fire to
Tajikistan
.
The source has also told Asia-Plus that the president also saw that financial assistance is provided to families of the blaze victims.
