DUSHANBE, April 20, Asia-Plus - Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja arrived in Tajikistan Wednesday [April 19] evening for a short working visit.
Today, Mr. Erkki Tuomioja is attending a joint meeting of the both chambers of Tajik parliament and after it he will hold talks with President Emomali Rahmonov.
The talks are supposed to focus on state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan the European Union countries.
Finnish Foreign Minister is also scheduled to meet with Speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Saydullo Khairulloyev today.
We will recall that Finland will assume chairmanship in the European Union in the second half of 2006.
