DUSHANBE, May 2, Asia-Plus -- 29, President Emomali Rahmonov has signed a number of laws endorsed by Tajik parliament.
On Saturday April 29, Rahmonov signed the RT Laws “On Naming Geographical Objects”, “On State Registry”, “On Making Changes and Addenda to the RT Law “On Narcotics, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors”, “On Making Changes and Addenda to the RT Law ”On TV and Radio-broadcasting”, “On Making Changes and Addenda to the RT Law “On Precious Metals and Stones”, and “On Making Changes and Addenda to the Family Code of Tajikistan,” presidential press service reported.
Press release issued by presidential press service says amendments made to the country’s Family Code are aimed at enhancement of protection of rights of mother and child. Under the changes made to the code child has right of participating in resolving family problems that directly concern him. Besides, child has the right of freely expressing his opinion and participating in judicial hearings. Amendment made to Article 127 of Tajikistan’s Family Code bans adoptions of Tajik children by foreign parents.
Amendments made to the RT Law “On Precious Metals and Stones” allow removing from the country only those raw materials containing precious metals and stones, processing of which has not yet put right in Tajikistan.
