DUSHANBE , May 30, Asia-Plus - Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov has sent a telegram of condolences to Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono over the devastating quake that hit Indonesia ’s Java Island , presidential press service reported.

Rahmonov said in his telegram that people of Tajikistan felt sympathy and grief when they knew about the devastating quake that caused so many casualties.  The Tajik president asked to convey his condolences to relatives and friends of those who died in the earthquake.

According to the last data, the death toll in 6.3-magnitude earthquake, which struck south of the city of Yogyakarta , has reached at least 5,427.
