DUSHANBE, October 19, Asia-Plus - State and prospects of further expansion of Tajik-Russian relations were major topics of President Emomali Rahmonov’s discussions with Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Ramazan Abdulatipov in Dushanbe on October 18.
According to presidential press service, in the course of the talks the two considered issues related to further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia in the fields of economy, commerce, energy, transportation, farm produce processing, metallurgy, education, science and culture. Rahmonov and Abdulatipov hailed developing political relations between the two countries.
During the meeting they also exchanged views on issues of regional security, post-war reconstruction of Afghanistan’s economy and combing efforts in addressing modern challenges and threats, in particular terrorism and drug trafficking.
