DUSHANBE, January 5, Asia-Plus - On Friday January 5, outgoing Indian Ambassador to Tajikistan Bondal Jaishankar conferred with President Emomali Rahmonov at the end of his tenure to Tajikistan, presidential press service reported.
In the course of the talks the two discussed a broad range of issues related bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and India. Rahmonov and Jaishankar also considered a progress of the implementation of agreements reached during President Rahmonov’s visit to India in August 2006, according to the source.
Rahmonov appreciated Indian ambassador’s contribution to promoting expansion of Tajik-Indian cooperation in different spheres, presidential press service said.
